Part time, a total of 143 hours

The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) is a leading global charity for research, teaching and information on international development, based in Brighton.

We are currently seeking to recruit one tutor for the MA in Governance and Development module on Public Management and Organisational Development. The tutor will be responsible for leading seminars, the preparation of teaching materials, and associated essential administration. S/he should have an understanding of political science and/or the sociology of organisations; research or experience related to the administration of services to the poor in developing countries is preferred.

Applicants should have a PhD degree in Development Studies, Political Science, Sociology, Public Management, Public Administration or a related social science discipline and have substantial practical experience in facilitating learning and knowledge sharing.

Salary: In the IDS grade 6 range,£26,212.00 per annum, pro rata and notional for a part time and fixed term only contract which equates to an hourly rate of £14.40 per hour.
