Aid Policy, Advocacy and Strategic Planning Advisers – Middle East


GRM international is seeking expression of interest from qualified International and National Aid Policy, Advocacy and Strategic Planning Advisers for potential opportunities on large donor funded programs in the Middle East
Selection Criteria
  • Master’s Degree or higher in social sciences, public policy, political science, public administration, or a related field
  • Candidates must be fluent in English and Arabic
  • At least 15-20 years’ experience in working with international donors : DfID, EC and USAID
  • Experience in designing and implementing public sector strategic planning projects
  • Knowledge and experience in a wide range of strategic planning methodologies, including the ability to contextualise these methodologies for the Middle East
  • Working experience in the Middle East: Egypt, Iran, Turkey, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Syria, UAE, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Cyprus
  • Experience in capacity building government staff
  • Experience in managing development and humanitarian assistance
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of aid effectiveness of the Paris declaration, MDGs 2015 and other international development agreements and issues
Specific knowledge and experience in any of the below is an asset:

  • Humanitarian Assistance
  • Business Process Analysis
  • Strategic Communication
