Program Officer - Clinical – Bihar, India

Project title: Technical Support Unit (TSU) for providing technical assistance to State AIDS Control Society in Bihar for the implementation of National HIV/AIDS Control Program

The objective of this program is to extend technical assistance in specified areas to the State AIDS Control Society in helping it achieve the NACP goals and objectives. Since prevention is the mainstay of the national strategy to control HIV/AIDS, the TSU is expected to focus and bring in technical and professional expertise in the areas of prevention and which include, evidence based strategic planning and resource planning, capacity building and activities related to strengthening Targeted Interventions (TIs).

Futures Group is seeking expression of interest from qualified candidates for the position of Program Officer - Clinical.

You will demonstrate:

• MBBS with 1 to 3 years’ experience or MD with at least 1 year experience in public health, STI/HIV/AIDS, and/ or sexual and reproductive health delivery programs, with exposure to clinical care, operations research, surveillance and/or laboratory testing;
• Professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods, research management and monitoring (desirable);
• Extensive experience in working in Bihar.
