​Pathologist, Lahore Laboratory

Introduction

​Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Pathologist for Lahore Laboratory.

Responsibilities

​The Incumbent will: Supervise the outreach lab in Lahore which includes supervision of technologist and evaluate their performance Manage technical staff and ensure proper training of laboratory safety procedure and maintain quality control in all aspects Actively participate in quality audits and initiatives such as College of American Pathologists (CAP), Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) and others Arrange, monitor and ensure for commissioning of any new lab equipment Strictly monitor the quality of the reports and check the due/pending on daily basis Conduct and participate in continuing medical education seminar at local and regional level Participate in research activities including community based projects Reduce patient/physician queries and complaints by investigating the root cause and taking preventive measures to avoid the complaints in future Reduce turn around reporting time for outreach lab tests Expansion of test menu of outreach lab

Requirements

​Applicant should have: FCPS in any discipline of Pathology, MCPS or Mphil in pathology 10 years of relevant experience in the field Ability to lead teams and be a team player Good interpersonal and communication skills Ability to initiate and participate in research activities
