Security coordinator Lebanon

Chemonics seeks a local security coordinator for the ongoing USAID-funded Lebanon Civic Support Initiative (LCSI). The security coordinator will provide oversight and technical guidance to approximately 20 field staff, including security assessments, development of security and contingency plans, and journey management, information security, networking, and training staff. This coordinator will conduct periodic threat and risk assessments of operations across the country and provide timely and accurate security advice to staff. This position is anticipated to last roughly one year and is based in Beirut, with additional travel throughout Lebanon required. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Qualifications: 
  • Minimum five years of security management experience, particularly in journey management, site and facilities assessment, information analysis, and incident/crisis management
  • Superior networking and oral and written communication skills required
  • Experience with USAID or NGO security preferred  
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • English​ fluency required; Arabic fluency, particularly Levantine dialect, preferred​
