Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in International Journalism

The appointee is expected to have relevant work experience preferably in international media and be an active researcher with demonstrated research record. He/She will be affiliated with the international journalism concentration of the Department. 
Applicants should possess a PhD Degree in journalism, communication or another relevant field or be PhD candidates in one of those areas. Those with teaching experience at tertiary level will have a definite advantage. Applicants should also have excellent communication skills and native-speaker-level proficiency in English.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two to three years commencing September 2014. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
