OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME :
The mission of IOS is to provide independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve the organization's operations.
Description of duties:
Subject to supervision by Deputy Director IOS:
1. Define methodology, plan, conduct and report on comprehensive audits as part of IOS annual workplan. The work covers matters of broadly defined risk and seeks to evaluate the status of the Organization's governance, risk management and system of internal control to assure reliability of financial and other operating information; compliance with rules and regulations; accomplishment of objectives and goals for operations; and the economical and efficient use of resources. Make recommendations for improvement of the same.
2. Assist in the review of audit observations and recommendations made by IOS. Monitor and assess adequacy of actions taken to correct reported deficiencies.
3. Perform special project tasks related to risk management and internal control governance issues as assigned by Deputy Director IOS.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Essential
University degree in a relevant field and certification in auditing/accounting, such as Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant.

Desirable
Education in public health.
Skills: 
Knowledge of ERP systems and related control environments (e.g. Oracle eBusiness Suite). Sound knowledge of auditing principles and their application; broad knowledge of financial matters on public sector or not profit entities. Good analytical skills and knowledge of management principles. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; effective report writing skills. Maturity of judgment, tact, integrity and discretion. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Ability to apply IT technology when needed.

Experience:
Essential
At least 7years of financial and/or operational audit experience, which at least 3 years at the international level.

Desirable
Work in developing countries, audit experience with an international public accounting firm, IT audit experience.
Languages:
Essential
Expert knowledge of English.

Desirable
Intermediate knowledge of French.

72,467 USD at single rate
67,483 USD with primary dependants
Post Adjustment: 103.3 % of the above figure(s). This percentage is to be considered as indicative since variations may occur each month either upwards or downwards due to currency exchange rate fluctuations or inflation.
