HR Services Advisor (French/English)
Sandvik, a Swedish based international high technology engineering group with world leading positions in cemented carbide and high speed steel tools for metal cutting; equipment and tools for mining and construction; and advanced stainless steel, specialty alloy and ceramic resistance products and process systems, has an opening for a HR Services Advisor (French/English) within the HR Services Organization. This position will be based at the Fair Lawn, NJ office.
The role
In this role, the HR Services Advisor will be responsible for performing operational HR activities across a range of HR processes in order to contribute to the delivery of quality end to end HR services, including resolving first line HR queries in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Performance Areas
  • Provides support to Sandvik employees across all Business Areas within the Americas region
  • Performs activities across more than one, if not the full range of HR services including General HR policy inquiries, PeopleSoft HR Management System, recruitment administration, and maintaining employee data and files
  • Is the first point of contact for the above HR related queries for Sandvik employees and managers in a professional and technically accurate manner
  • Adheres to and consistently follows global processes and procedures in the performance of assignments and recognizes and escalates opportunities for improvement
  • Liaises with key stakeholders, as required, in the performance of duties, including Sandvik employees and line managers, other members of the HR Services structure, as well as, the wider HR community where necessary
  • Contributes to achieving the KPIs and targets set for HR Services
  • Applies excellent customer knowledge and customer service skills to manage and resolve queries
  • Applies and builds broad knowledge across the full range of HR Services including HR Policies, recruitment, and employee relations
  • Applies judgment to refer cases and queries to HR Service Specialists, as appropriate
Your Profile
  • Must be fluent in French and English (Quebecoise French)
  • Minimum of 2 years HR experience or relevant service center environment experience
  • Knowledge of Customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations while providing service in a direct or indirect manner
  • Must have the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in both a constructive and a collaborative manner at all levels of the business
