Designs, develops, modifies, adapts or implements short and long term solutions to information technology (IT) needs through new and existing applications. Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs, and implements software solutions.
Serves as a lead application technical expert on specific aligned applications
Works with projects teams and systems analysts to translate technical requirements into optimally coded solutions which adhere to GE standards for architecture, security, stability and incident support
Demonstrates command of multiple programming languages and basic system analysis techniques
Bachelor's Degree (or a minimum 4 years equivalent work experience) with a minimum 2 years of IT experience

Minimum 3 years hands on experience with Core Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Integration, Core java, Java concurrency and Java web apps

Minimum 5 years of experience in Implementing solutions using Service Orientated Architecture, Business Process using JMS, J2EE Web technology such as JSP/JSTL, Servlet. Web page development such HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
Minimum 2 years of Object Orientated Programming, and Aspect Orientated Programming experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in application development (including both functional and technical design work)
Java ORM using Hibernate, myBatis or JPA
Experience with building and consuming RESTful and webservices using Java
Expertise with jQuery and other related javascript libraries for HTML5 based UI development
Experience with rules engines and bpm desired
Knowledge of different design patterns (like SOA, Event Driven, Pub/Sub, Request-Reply etc.)
Broad knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, processes and controls
Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and leadership skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
Strategic perspective with demonstrated accountability & execution fulfillment
Knowledge of IT controllership methodologies and standards; demonstrated experience though project execution compliant with systems development life cycle methodology
Change Agent with ability to drive compliance, protocols, & standardization
