Inbound Resourcing Specialist
Job Profile
The Inbound Resourcing Specialist's responsibilities include the day-to-day operational buying process/activities and monitoring supplier performance for their respective supplier base with focus on maintaining parts availability and reducing working capital. Responsibilities will also include supply base resourcing activities consisting of supplier reduction and consolidation, and item level resourcing of commercial goods. This position reports to the Materials Manager and will be located in Burlington, Ontario.
Key Performance Areas
  • Execute the operational buying process for supplier base
  • Monitor, report, and communicate the overall performance of supplier base
  • Respond to customer service requests according to expectations
  • Tactical maintenance of inventory settings for items within supplier base
  • Responsible for working capital and items availability in global hub warehouse for supplier base
  • Accountable to deliver cost opportunities from strategic sourcing projects
  • Responsible for item level resourcing of commercial goods in support of the inbound team
  • Special projects, analysis and other duties as assigned
Your Profile
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Business or similar College diploma required.
  • PMAC/APICS or other equivalent professional designation is an asset
  • Minimum of three to five years satisfactory progression in business supply chain buying, sourcing and or inventory management.
  • Proven experience working with direct supplier interactions.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management and logistics/supply chain planning and operations
  • Experience using AS400 and/or similar inventory database systems
  • Skilled in all Microsoft tools such as Projects, PowerPoint, Word, Access.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to operate independently and without close supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communications
