Job Purpose
To contribute to IAGC’s revenue management strategy and targets by maximising network revenue contribution (profit) on a portfolio of routes.
To achieve this you’ll need to determine and drive route objectives based on market behaviour whilst ensuring operational integrity is maintained. This involves analysing, understanding and effectively balancing supply/demand and other commercial drivers.
You’ll work closely with colleagues right across IAGC, plus colleagues in British Airways such as Network Planning and Load Control.

You’ll work closely with colleagues right across IAGC, plus colleagues in British Airways such as Network Planning and Load Control.
Principal Accountabilities
- Own and drive the commercial performance of routes/flights (BA &/or IB flights)
- Determine route objectives and identify opportunities to exploit contribution
- Deliver revenue contribution and Revenue Management effectiveness targets
- Analyse and understand key business drivers to support effective decision-making
- Monitor competitor activity and market share on the routes and ensure rapid response to competition changes
- Input to IAGC business plan, deliver business goals and mitigate risks
- Forecast demand and supply using advanced forecasting techniques
- Ensure flights are accurately set up to deliver both contribution and customer service goals
- Maximise selling opportunities through effective overbooking balanced with operational and customer objectives
- Deliver the best mix of product, origin, destination, customer and yield on all routes, driving high yield mix and managing risk
- Evaluate requests for access to capacity from committed, free sale and ad hoc requests to ensure optimal revenue contribution to IAGC
- Reduce capacity wastage by applying robust utilisation checks for committed periodic business and take appropriate actions
- Ensure capacity and demand parameters are set up correctly in BA systems and changes made within the booking window in response to market trends
- Identify system abuse and take corrective action
- Check booking conformance between confirmed bookings and available capacity
- Contribute to the development of Revenue Management through continuous improvement and project work
The Individual
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and capabilities:-

- A degree in a numerical subject or relevant work experience in a similar role
- Effective influencing skills
- Self- starter: able to work on own initiative, make decisions and implement them
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships across different departments
- Excellent team working skills
- Stakeholder management
- Commercial awareness Creative, ‘out of the box’ thinking
- Expertise in using Excel and other relevant systems (or proven aptitude to learn)
- An interest in the aviation industry
