The SSC World Service is the world's largest international multimedia broadcaster with a global weekly audience of 192 million people, delivering a wide range of language and regional services on radio, TV, digital and social media.

We have recently launched Global Newsbeat, an exciting project to bring news in Kiswahili to young audiences across East Africa, to help them better understand events and issues which affect their lives, as well as bringing the latest in entertainment, technology and sports. Are you an experienced broadcast journalist who is fluent in spoken and written Kiswahili, with an excellent comprehension of written and spoken English? Can you deliver at the cutting edge of international news yet know what are the issues which are important to young people in your world? If so, we would like to hear from you! Our successful candidate will have proven experience in writing and presenting topical, up-to-date news bulletins in a creative and engaging style which appeals to young audiences.
