Professor in Regional and International Economics

The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg has an opening for
1 Professor in Regional and International Economics (M/F)

Mission
The responsibilities contain the research, the tutelage of students of the levels Bachelor, Master and doctorate, the preparation and the management of research projects, as well as the education at the various levels.
Profile
  • A PhD in economics, since at least three years;
  • A specialization in various areas and methods focusing on the analysis of the causes and consequences of globalization. These topics include regional development issues, including topics like economic geography, urban economics, regional macroeconomics, factor mobility, public policies, sectorial specialization and cross-regional/international exchanges;
  • A significant record of publications in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals;
  • A solid experience in academic teaching and research at high level;
  • Ability to work in a multilingual environment: thorough knowledge of French and English is essential, the practice of German will be considered an advantage.

  • A detailed curriculum vitae with a list of publications of the candidate;
  • A text of up to 6000 characters (3 pages) describing the scientific activities which the applicant wishes to carry out;
  • A copy of the three publications that the candidate considers as most representative of his or her research activity.
