Sandvik is a global industry group, present in more than 150 countries, with advanced products and world-leading positions in a multitude of areas. Last year, eleven of the world’s most talented graduates entered our 18-month Global Graduate Program. Selected for their drive and innovative minds, they’ve commenced a performance-driven career path within a company that truly recognizes the importance of professional development. September 2017 marks the start of Sandvik Global Graduate Program 3, as we’re giving performance-driven, aspiring, career orientated individuals an opportunity to embark on the journey of a lifetime.
The graduate program
Starting out with an eight-month training period in the US, you gain knowledge about Sandvik in your own geographical market, as well as practical experience in Sandvik’s way of doing business. The second training period will be with one of our markets outside your home country. In your final training period, you take part in a strategically important project, either in the US or in another part of the Sandvik world.
The program has four learning modules, in which participants will get together to take part in learning programs. These will focus on understanding Sandvik as a global company; our business and leadership as well as our way of working with your career and personal development. You will be assigned a senior Sandvik leader as a mentor during the program and you are employed by Sandvik in the US from day one. Where you will be starting your career after the program will be decided through personal development dialogues and the business needs. Throughout the program, you will receive feedback and evaluation on your performance. The program provides challenging and rewarding opportunities and you will be enabled – and expected – to contribute in an innovative environment.
Your role
During 18 months, you’ll experience the array of cultures that form the Sandvik world, while at the same time learning about our business and exploring the excitement of the manufacturing industry. The program provides challenging and rewarding opportunities in which you will be enabled – and expected – to actively contribute to keeping operations at the forefront in our innovative environment. You will take part in live projects, while gaining knowledge about Sandvik and obtaining practical experience of our way of doing business.
Your profile
Apart from being a high performing professional with a Master’s degree, you are an open-minded hard worker with high aspirations, and a thirst for knowledge. Working in a diverse and international environment intrigues you, and your passion to succeed comes with a solid sense of self-motivation, as well as a determination to set the industry standard. You also have a high level of emotional intelligence and exceptional communication skills. Preference will be given to those that also have experience in areas such as Digitalization/IT, Project Management, Technical Sales and Marketing, Production or R&D.
