Core Services is now looking for an IT Service Architect for a position that provides opportunities to design services that are fit-for-purpose to give our business areas relevant services for their business operations. You will also be part of, and influence, the journey of moving Sandvik IT to the next generation of data center services, including, for example, the growth of cloud and software defined services.
Job Summary
As an IT Service Architect for Data Center services you are responsible for the design of relevant services that fit the Service Strategy. You ensure that data center services match Sandvik's internal customer requirements and are aligned with the overall architecture framework, IT principles and policies. The position includes identifying which solutions, processes and competencies are necessary to provide the service, as well as maintaining and improving the services in accordance with IT architectural guidelines and constraints. You may also be involved in other assignments, for example supporting application development projects with architectural designs matters.
Additional responsibilities include coordination of the team of architects and assignments to ensure progress on assignments and taking part in the Service Design and Service Transition processes. Furthermore, you collaborate with the service owner and other stakeholders in calculating total cost of ownership for the service, and you also identify and describe cost drivers for specific services.
Travel willbe needed to some extent.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's in IT or equivalent knowledge gained through experience. You have more than five years’ experience as a solution architect in bid teams, building IT solutions as a service: including writing service descriptions, calculating TCO and defining meaningful SLOs and KPIs. You are a certified IT architect with vast experience from working in a process-oriented organization. Experience from service delivery in a global outsourced environment is advantageous, as is experience with data center services, IT Service Management (ITSM), ITIL, service reporting and outlining business cases. It is also preferred that you have experience from translating customer requirements into solutions and have knowledge from business systems continuity planning. As we operate in a global setting, you need to be fluent in English.
