Director of Securities and Markets Supervision

The Central Bank of Ireland is a dynamic, multifaceted organisation at the heart of Ireland’s financial system. We have responsibility for the safeguarding of Irish financial stability and the regulation of the Irish financial services industry.
The Bank is seeking to fill this Director position within Financial Regulation. Reporting to the Deputy Governor, Financial Regulation the role will be offered as 5 year fixed term positions and will be part of the Senior Leadership Committee participating in the development and execution of the Bank’s strategy. This pivotal role will offer the successful appointees the unique opportunity to work within Irish and European financial regulation.
Director of Securities and Markets Supervision
The successful appointee will be tasked with defining and implementing a strategy for the regulation and supervision of Irish primary and secondary securities markets comprising approximately 6,300 investment funds. This includes supervision of over 2,000 non-financial counterparties under European Market Infrastructure Regulations.
This role will encompass overseeing significant funds authorisation and prospectus approval processes ensuring rigorous standards of scrutiny whilst pursuing on-going operational efficiency through leading a high performing team of professionals to deliver the required results.
