Business Development Engineer

Scope
Building the market position by identifying, defining, locating & developing business relationships to generate new business, with focus on New Products & Customers as per product management directives.
Key Performance Areas
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of all Heating Systems' product offerings, current markets, value propositions and competitors.
- Investigate and Focus on new applications in which heating technology can be used, implemented and developed
- Identify trend setting ideas relating to Heating Systems' core competence by researching specific industries, events, publications and announcements.
- Screen potential development ideas by analyzing market attractiveness, potential, risks, competitor analysis and potential investment requirements.
- Communicate potential ideas to various levels of the organization
- Develop & lead the execution of market plans to capitalize on new business opportunities.
- Ensure efficient/effective marketing, advertising & promotional planning for new business opportunities in conjunction with Heating Systems' Marketing Team.
- Establish and manage business development and business partner management activities.
- Meet business targets that are set during the development of the business plans.
- Open business development dialogue’s with new strategic business partners.
- Responsible for input data and analysis of critical business information regarding competitors and market trends., for North.
Important Aspects Of The Role Are:
- Collect market information about customers and industry trends. Create activity plans together with Sales Manager and responsible product manager(s). Make customer categorization, screening and give priority.
- Collecting and analysing data to evaluate existing and potential products and service in the market.
- Prepare presentation material with specific focus on applications related to local industries.
- Participate in different exhibitions and seminars related to these industries.
- Assuring the validity and quality of applicable data, intelligence and forecasts.
- Supporting the sales and marketing efforts in the respective products.
- Provide technical support to Distributors.
- Handle daily communication with other PU and SU. Supply PUs with market feed-back and product information.
Your profile
- Good Technical knowledge in Electrical Resistance Heating.
- Bachelor degree or a Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Production / Metallurgical Engg.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Must have basic computer knowledge and exposure to CRM systems
- Good market knowledge of North India.
- Capable in reading and creating drawings and calculations
- Structured personality with strong commitment .
- Capacity to handle high workloads.
- Strong communication skills and good contact network
- Service minded personality
- Fluency in English is mandatory
- Should have Knowledge of Local Language .
- Driving License & Physically fit for extensive travelling.
- Must be willing to operate from Residence.
Relationships
- Solid Line Reporting to: Associate Vice President - Sales (Heating System, India)
- Dotted Line Reporting to: Technical Marketing Manager.
