Deputy Project Director - ACDI/VOCA

We are currently seeking a Deputy Project Director for an upcoming multiyear project in Peru. The project will focus on increasing the competitiveness of the coffee value chain in domestic, regional and international markets. This position will be based in Lima, Peru with project activities in San Martin, Huánuco and Ucayali. No international benefits will be offered for this position.

Responsibilities:
• Provide overall leadership, management and general technical direction for the project.
• Identify issues and risks related to project implementation in a timely manner and suggest appropriate adjustments.
• Develop and nurture private sector relationships.
• Ensure technical assistance and training activities achieve expected results.
• Monitor and approve project expenditures.
• Technical writing and reporting.
• Ensure project achieves performance monitoring targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with home office, donor personnel, partners and collaborators, and other stakeholders.
• Manage contractual agreements with partners.
• Represent ACDI/VOCA and the project to the public and donor community.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of master’s degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience managing and leading international development programs, especially those related to coffee and value chain development.
• USAID experience preferred.
• Spanish and English (read, write, speak) fluency are required.
• Experience in Peru is required, additional regional experience is highly preferred.
