Put your management accounting experience, Sun expertise and desire to end world poverty and injustice to good use acting as the finance expert within ActionAid’s International Emergencies and Conflict Team (IECT)
ActionAid is a partnership between people in rich and poor countries dedicated to ending poverty and injustice. Our IECT play a key role in making that happen by
reducing the impact of disasters and climate change, strengthening our Emergency preparedness and Human Security programming work, improving assistance to those affected by disasters and much more. Join us and take responsibility for the management of systems, analysis and contribution to fundraising proposals and external funded projects managed by the team.
Combining your management accounting, Sun and Excel skills, you’ll improve the effectiveness of our IECT work by setting up systems, leading budgeting processes, helping with forecasting, supporting fundraising proposals, assisting in-country teams manage income and generally ensuring that team finances are managed with minimal risk and maximum accountability.
As the finance expert within a team of non-financial colleagues you’ll be relied upon to simplify complex financial information, present data for reporting and decision-making and provide ad-hoc advice to project managers. It’s a varied role that calls for experience of leading budget planning processes, an understanding of financial management in the NGO sector and excellent interpersonal, negotiation and project management skills.
