Country Case Study Consultant (Achieving Transformational Results: Ten after Ten)
UNDP is preparing a report comprising case studies on long-term development cooperation which have achieved transformational results at the country level. The time frame is between 10 and 20 years, depending on circumstances. One of the case studies selected is that of Mozambique and concerns the support UNDP provided in the aftermath of the conflict.

Duties and Responsibilities | |
The purpose of this consultancy is to identify, and document a political-organizational- historical account of UNDP?s involvement in the post-crisis context in Mozambique. The account should to the extent possible document specific UNDP-supported projects/activities over this 18 year period and chart changes in Mozambique that might indicate a steady, even transformational improvement in this area. Key questions that the consultancy must answer: 1 What was the role of UNDP in the post-conflict Mozambique governance system to rebuild the nation-state? Anticipated key finding
2. What were the major projects/programmes in this area since 1990s? Anticipated key finding
3. Evidence of Transformational Change Anticipated key finding
