Finance and Administration Assistant - Zambia

Location: Mansa, Zambia

In Zambia Water Aid is working in Lusaka, Southern and Luapula Provinces to help poor people achieve sustainable improvements in their quality of life through improved domestic water supply, sanitation and associated hygiene practices.

Reporting to the Provincial Projects Manager, the Finance and Administration Assistant will be responsible for all accounting and administration work of the WaterAid Mansa Office.

Person Specifications:

  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • A national accounting diploma or a part qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and analytical/problem solving skills
  • Strong accounting knowledge and double entry book keeping skills
  • Experience of working in a busy accounting department
  • Good understanding of Sun and vision excel, or a similar multi-dimensional accounting system.
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • High numeracy, accuracy and keen attention to detail.
  • Customer orientated and adaptable

Conditions and benefits

Three years contract will be offered with good chances of renewal depending on performance. A competitive salary and benefits package will be offered, dependent on qualifications and experience.
