HR Specialist (Location: Vilvoorde)

Summary of Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of business focused HR policies and procedures aligned with corporate HR policies and compliant with local legal regulations.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Support the recruitment, selection & hiring of new staff, in close collaboration with HR Director, ensuring appropriate matches between position requirements and individual profiles.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of HR projects (staff surveys, bonus schemes, development programs, etc.)
  • Facilitate HR Director in monitoring employee performance through the yearly MBO process
  • Contribute in the design & implementation of need-based training programs and development actions
  • Support the definition & implementation of HR processes, procedures & policies.
  • Ensure the proper administration of all legal requirements & employee benefits, including the monthly payroll
  • Ensure compliance to all legal obligations through regular follow-up of administrative & reporting requirements
  • Regularly update internal HR systems, handbooks, guidelines & policies to keep in line with the changing environment
Requirements:
  • Higher education in Psychology, HR or related field
  • 3-4 years' experience in a similar HR operational role, preferably within an international environment.
  • Sound knowledge of Belgian social law & Belgian payroll.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Keen eye for detail, high level of accuracy & ability to multi-task & manage priorities
  • Flexible, customer- and result- driven and a good team-player
  • Proficient in MS Office applications. Knowledge of SAP or other HR systems would be an advantage
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
Relevant Job Experience:
  • 3-4 years experience in HR in an operational role, preferably within an international environment.
  • Experience in Belgian social law & Belgian payroll is obligatory
