Our Richards Bay Division has a challenging opportunity for a dynamic and professional individual in the following position:

Industrial Engineer
(Ref. RB130/2011)

The incumbent will provide necessary technical and industrial engineering support to the management team towards reducing operating costs, increasing productivity and in achieving corporate and departmental goals, as outlined by the Company's strategic plan.
Candidates need a degree in Industrial Engineering/BTech Industrial Engineering, with at least 5 years' experience in a chemical plant environment at middle management level. Computer literacy (Microsoft Office), project management, good leadership, interpersonal, communication and management skills are essential, along with good knowledge of production management.

The incumbent will be responsible for:
l Identifying initiatives to improve productivity and profit margins
l Ensuring the implementation of improvement initiatives
l Managing and interpreting production and financial statistics
l Ensuring continuous process optimisation
l Giving input into Operations Management improvement
l Initiating cost reduction initiatives
l Conducting production stock forecasts
l Compiling and managing the budget
l Managing projects
l Reporting.
