ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Management

Duties: The successful candidate will provide academic leadership through enhancement of teaching, research and community service activities of the department and will be expected to: (i) teach management courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; (ii) act as a mentor to junior academic staff; (iii) initiate, develop and establish research programs in management; (iv) raise / solicit research funds from funding agencies within and outside the country; (v) carry out any responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements: Professor: Candidates should have: (i) at least Masters in Management; (ii) at least 5 years university teaching experience or equivalent; (iii) an excellent cumulative and sustained record of research and publications in management in refereed journals and experience in supervising students’ research projects and internships; (iv) at least 12 publications, 8 of which are peer reviewed journal articles; (v) lead and/or single authored in at least 6 journal articles or book chapters; (vi) evidence of academic leadership; (vii) evidence of service to the university, the profession and the community; (viii) the ability to attract funding from international sources and this should be reflected in the profile. A PhD will be an added advantage.
