Call for consultants: SharePoint Developer

Transparency International is seeking a SharePoint expert on contract to provide dedicated support and customization for our online extranet, the Chapter Zone.

Background:

Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 90 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business, and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.

Assignment: Transparency International is commencing a structural redesign of our extranet, the Chapter Zone. The Chapter Zone serves 107 national chapters and contact groups across the globe.

We are seeking a senior SharePoint developer, preferably with hands-on experience in SharePoint 2010, to assist with the following:

  1. Restructure existing site content
  2. Implement visual designs created by our graphic artist
  3. Install add-ons and updates
  4. Customize and implement Web Parts
  5. Perform limited custom programming as required.

This is a full-time contract position offered to individuals or companies with available qualified personnel.

The successful candidate can work offsite anywhere in the world. Instructions will be managed remotely by email and SharePoint Issues Tracking lists. If the candidate is not a programmer they must have access to programmers in their firm.

Start date: ASAP

Termination date: November, 2011

Specific deliverables:

  • Enhanced Chapter Zone must be released by October 15, 2011

Knowledge, Experience, Skills

  • Advanced degree in computer programming or a related field
  • Minimum five years experience in SharePoint development
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
