Coca-Cola Region Technical Manager, Thailand
Strategic leadership and operational support for the Coca-Cola System in the Thailand Region to build capabilities and capacities across supply chain, deliver innovation in product and package, proactively manage regulatory environment, and provide leadership in governance across the spectrum of Quality, Environment and Safety.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
1. Develop supply chain solutions and ensure suitable capacities and capabilities are in place to meet business volume and profit goals. Includes the building of strategic infrastructure plans against the 2020 vision.
2. Build brand value through the continuous enhancement of quality performance across the supply chain including suppliers, manufacturing , distribution and marketplace
3. Partner with marketing and franchise leadership teams to identify innovation opportunities and lead development and commercialisation of agreed innovations across the scope of product, package and equipment .
4. Provide leadership in the area of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs ensuring regulatory compliance of our business and proactively managing regulatory environment to remove barriers to growth.
5. Identify and deliver cost optimisation opportunities to improve the profitability of both TCCC and our Bottlers.
6. Build brand value through governance across all aspects of Environment and Safety including identification and delivery of projects to meet Live + commitments
Communication Complexities
Across business units. Supplier negotiations. Government and Customs meetings on regulations eg, food regulations and import regulations. Communication with external 3rd parties including scientific, medical and educational experts. Company spokesperson on technical/scientific issues.
Bottler negotiations- must be able to influence senior Bottler management to make decisions often requiring multi million dollar capex investments.
Analysis
Sourcing solutions for raw materials- packaging/ingredients. Manufacturing solutions for new products and categories. Identify cost reduction opportunities, lowest cost solutions to deliver innovation and quality solutions.
Utilise experience and networks to reapply , to rework for local application or devise unique local solutions. Root cause analysis and corrective action planning and execution to correct Quality, Environment, Safety, and other performance gaps, and drive continuous improvement in the Technical / Supply Chain system.
Judgement and Decision Making
Lead development of both strategic and annual business plans for Supply Chain and technical.
Make final decision on supply chain solutions including final approval on new suppliers, identifying and approving process solutions to support new products and deciding on innovation solutions to meet business needs.
Final decider on Quality and Live + improvement programs and cost saving initiatives.
Supply chain lead for IMCR for making decisions on consumer issues.
Innovation
The local lead for delivery of innovation needs identified in partnership with local business partners eg. Marketing and Commercial Franchise leadership. Use experience and networks to identify innovation solutions to meet business needs in the areas of product, package, equipment and process.
Supervisory Responsibilities
4 direct reports with full responsibility in supervision, ie hiring, conducting performance reviews, terminations.
Related Experience
Minimum 10 years experience across spectrum of supply chain roles. Primarily in the areas of quality and innovation. Either experience within the Bottler or experience in managing Bottler relationships is critical. Team leadership experience critical.
Travel Requirements
25% - 30% of time.
