Contracts Management Internship

Position Summary:

MSI is now accepting applications for our Contracts Management Internship. The position is available immediately and will last until approximately August 31, 2012, with the possibility for extension based on performance, how well the candidate works with the team, and the needs of the Contracts Department.

Responsibilities:

• Support project managers and contract administrators by drafting, editing and formating subcontracts, purchase orders, statements of works and/or labor agreement forms;

• Update and maintain both hard and soft-copy file databases of contracts, subcontracts and related documentation;

• Perform administrative tasks: alphabetize and collate files; filing, copying, and scanning documents;

• Provide additional support to the Contracts Department as needed.

Qualifications:

• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment;

• Strong organizational skills;

• Familiarity with MS Excel and Word required;

• Preference given to candidates with a BA;

• Interest in the contracts management and/or international development field preferred.

Internships require a commitment of up to 32 hours per week. Applicants residing or attending school in the D.C. Metropolitan area will be given preference. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. This is a paid position.
