We're looking for a General Counsel (50%) to provide high quality legal advice to WWF International on the full range of legal issues relevant to its work.
Location:
WWF International in Gland (near Geneva), Switzerland.
Main responsibilities:
- Provide legal opinion and counsel, and serve as a trusted advisor to the various departments at WWF International on issues related to intellectual property, brand and trademark protection, corporate partnerships, ICT technologies, litigation, contract negotiation, etc.
- Collaborate with WWF’s existing legal advisers to ensure WWF can access expertise on the range of legal issues which might arise
What you need:
Required Qualifications
- Appropriate tertiary legal qualifications to the level of Masters;
- 10-15 years working experience the private sector and/or NGO sector;
- Strong experience in intellectual property, trade-mark, computer and information technology
law; - Excellent knowledge of Swiss law and working experience in International law.

- Ability to deliver outcomes and solutions through external partners;
- Excellent communication, negotiation and diplomatic skills;
- Proven ability to influence through mentoring, guidance and persuasion;
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to lead within a virtual, external team;
- Excellent relationships building skills; ability to adapt to particular situations
- Excellent command of English and French and a working knowledge of other languages;
- Real interest in conservation;
