PATH is a US-based international development organization with the mission to improve the health of people around the world by advancing health technologies, strengthening systems, and encouraging healthy behaviors.

For more than 20 years, PATH’s HIV/AIDS team has worked all around the globe to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, and mitigate the impact of the epidemic. PATH and its project partners have been awarded ProVIC, a five-year $45 million contract to improve and integrate HIV/AIDS services in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

ProVIC is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant6 who will be contributing to the implementation of ProVIC’s Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Plan. The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant will provide critical support to the National M&E Specialist in Kinshasa in the following areas:

Collecting and compiling data from implementing partners

- Monitor and ensure data collection from ProVIC implementing partners in Kinshasa, ensuring consistent use of ProVIC-developed strategies, methods, and tools. Collate and aggregate Kinshasa M&E data for subsequent analysis by the National M&E Specialist.

- Monitor M&E activities in ProVIC-supported champion communities, in collaboration with grantees.

- Work closely with ProVIC’s financial and administrative team in Kinshasa to increase efficiencies and ensure the coordination of ProVIC-supported activities.

M&E Database Management
- Manage Kinshasa M&E data entry and verify data aggregated at the national level (from each province).

- Ensure the routine monitoring of project indicators for each programmatic component to help ensure the achievement of project targets.

- Generate reports as requested for project monitoring and donor reporting purposes.

Reporting
- Support the production of monthly, quarterly, annual and other ProVIC M&E reporting activities in Kinshasa, as well as national reporting efforts, working closely with the National M&E Specialist and Kinshasa-based Regional Coordinator.

- Identify and report M&E-related challenges and concerns to the National M&E specialist and Regional Coordinator to improve project performance and data quality.


Other Duties
- Support the National M&E Specialist in coordinating logistics and other preparations for ProVIC, donor, partner, and other stakeholder meetings.

- Draft and send communications as requested.

- Lead records management efforts for M&E-related documentation

Required Skills
  • Knowledge of HIV / AIDS is an asset.
  • Strong command of computer software applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Access), including database experience.
  • Working knowledge of French, including ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies in both verbal and written communications.
  • Working knowledge of English a strong asset.
