Organisational Effectiveness - Evaluation and Accountability

The Directorate of Organisational Effectiveness is seeking experienced Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) professionals to work together with the Head of Evaluation and Accountability to craft an international Monitoring & Evaluation strategy for implementation across our federation.

These roles will be part of a five person team that collectively will provide Monitoring & Evaluation support to 43 members/country programmes which are organised into 7 country groups, 13 international programmes (3 of which are international campaigns on tax justice, safer urban spaces, and land grabbing, the other ten of which are related to our strategy outcomes), and numerous donor funded multi country programmes. The team will collectively set, support and monitor M&E standards and policy across the federation, continuously identifying good practice inside and outside the sector to inform learning.

Each role will be part of horizontal working group on specialist areas (e.g. governance, women’s rights, education and youth, sustainable livelihoods, emergency response) depending on their knowledge area and interest.

Head of Evaluation and Accountability

Location: Strong preference for Johannesburg, South Africa

International Terms and Conditions, base salary GB£54,372 per annum

The Head of Evaluation and Accountability provides leadership and advice in supporting the organisation to meet its accountability, learning and planning system (ALPS) requirements at all levels, ensuring that the system remains dynamic and relevant. Through this role, effective and appropriate methodologies and frameworks for measuring progress and impact at a global level is developed. This Senior Manager sets the optimum levels of assessment of impact, reporting etc. as well as then ensuring that they are met.

Human Rights Based Approach Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor (Local Programming)

Location: Johannesburg, Rio, London, Nairobi, Bangkok

Local Terms and Conditions of Service apply, base salary GB£36,035 per annum negotiable

This role will have a particularly strong emphasis on capacity development of country programmes and will focus on developing standards and tools and provide technical advice on monitoring local rights programmes (including how to monitor our partnership, partner capacity development, and local rights registers, and empowerment indices).

Location: Johannesburg, Rio, London, Nairobi, Bangkok

Local Terms and Conditions of Service apply, base salary GB£36,035 per annum negotiable

This role will have a particularly strong emphasis on capacity development of our international programmes, including the monitoring framework of the three international campaigns, and innovating effective means of monitoring and learning on our policy and campaigns work. A strong preference for someone with campaigns experience.
