Felixton Sugar Mill in Northern KwaZulu-Natal is looking for two dynamic, career-oriented Engineers to join their team.

Plant Engineer (Extraction)

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the incumbent’s responsibilities will include:

• Plant maintenance
• Leading teams of skilled and semi-skilled employees
• Control costs and capital budgets
• Application and enforcement of OHS Act regulations (GMR 2 (7) appointment).

Previous experience in Heavy Engineering Section Management, including working with gear drivers, heavy chains, belt conveyors, pumps and hydraulics will be required.

Plant Engineer (Power Generation)

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the incumbent’s responsibilities will include:

• Continuous availability of all boilers and power generation systems
• Leading teams of skilled and semi-skilled employees
• Control costs and capital budgets
• Application and enforcement of OHS Act regulations (GMR 2 (7) appointment).

Previous experience and proven exposure to the maintenance and operation of boilers and power generation plants will be required.

Requirements for both positions:

• BSc degree/BTech
• 5 years’ experience, preferably in a sugar milling environment
• Good business acumen and strong leadership and people management skills
• Highly motivated and results driven
• MS Office computer skills
• GCC.
