Senior Manager, Strategy Research

The Role
The role is highly important and influential. Sitting within Group Strategy and Business Development and reporting directly to the Group Head of Commodity Research, the successful candidate will lead commodity research for Steel, Iron Ore, Coal and Freight with responsibility for supply and demand forecasting, short and long term pricing recommendations and cost curve information. Commodity analysis and research carried out as part of the role’s remit will underpin the future Group Strategy and Business Development.

Mining / Commodity experience is preferred but is not essential. The successful candidate must however possess the following:

The Candidate
Mining / Commodity experience is preferred but is not essential. The successful candidate must however possess the following:
- First class academic credentials at first degree level and ideally postgraduate level, preferably in an Economics related subject
- Proven ability to interact and influence effectively at a senior level within a commercial environment
- Proven competence across a range of economic analytics tools
- Logical and strategic thinking
