Mobility Specialist - Greater China and Korea

This role has regional accountability for execution of due diligence, compliance, and governance surrounding international service assignees “ISAs” and international short-term assignees “STAs”and regional Mobility assignees including compensation package development and assignment letters, assignment approvals process, ongoing assignment management, development and analysis of cost projections, initiation and support of relocation services, coordination of destination location services including home finding, education assistance, area overviews, cultural and language training, and policy interpretation. The role also includes onboarding activities to successfully launch expatriate and short term assignments and set expectations for policy and tax compliance throughout the assignment. This associate also supports Pacific Group mobility and relocation including permanent transfers as well as domestic and intra-Business unit’s transfers.

Function Specific Activities – The following is a list of top Function-Specific activities performed in the job.

• Produce assignment Letters of Understanding for international assignees’ and coordinate compensation and relocation activities for ISAs, STAs, and permanent transfers to Pacific Group

• Proactively works with GBS Mobility consultant, Global Mobility COE, Talent Development Partners and SBPs to routinely review the assignees in their areas duration in current assignments, discuss any issues or observations, business objectives, and plan for their repatriation or next assignment

• Identify and implement processes and procedures within their accountability and provide recommendations for process improvements and innovations

• Respond to questions pertaining to the applicable mobility and relocation policies and procedures for associates, global HR partners, suppliers and managers.

• Maintain proactive communications with associates on assignments to understand issues early on and work through them to support successful assignments

• Executes employment arrangements to facilitate global mobility of associates throughout the system to and from bottlers, joint ventures, subsidiaries, and other operations

• Respond to questions from HR and business leaders on Regional and Domestic Relocation policy and permanent transfer to Pacific group and business unit guidelines.

• Manages any allowance programmes for domestic transfers including quarterly monitoring of active participants to ensure they retain eligibility for ongoing payment

• Assists with Global Relocation and Mobility Programs, with disposition of company-owned house inventory as a result of US domestic transfers

• Develops operational relationships with key suppliers to best support the Company’s Mobility needs and mobile associates

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; At least 3-5 years work experience in progressively more consultative roles

Analysis

This associate must be able to manage a complex caseload and have technical expertise in the areas of program management, project management (for calendar driven work such as home leave, hardship, tax letters, etc.), tax and legal compliance, customer and client service, expatriate and North American assignment benefits, and general benefits administration.

This associate must have strong organizational and planning skills to allow for proactive management of problems and establishment of routines to minimize disruption to workflow.

This associate must balance project work with the needs of individuals and satisfy competing deliverables of each.

Working Conditions

This associate will be routinely working with assignees and families who are experiencing a major life event, relocation, and oftentimes it will be an international assignment adding to the complexity. As such, this associate must demonstrate that they Live Positively, and take proactive measures to ensure their own health and well-being.
