Research Assistant Scientist

A non-tenure-track faculty position (100% research) in sorghum breeding and genetics is available in the Agronomy Department, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, starting 16 July 2012. The research focus will be on the genetic dissection of traits important for bioenergy applications, and on the development of improved sweet sorghum germplasm for the Southeastern US. An earned doctorate (foreign equivalent acceptable) in plant breeding, genetics or a closely related discipline and a minimum of one year postdoctoral experience are required.
