MANAGER: STUDENT SUPPORT (PL3)
Rosslyn Campus (Ref. TNC/RC/12-05/03)
Salary scale: R243 021 per annum (plus benefits)

Requirements: • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification • Indepth knowledge of the legislative framework, FETC Act, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations, SETA and SAQA • The ability to think strategically • Management, leadership and administration skills • Reportwriting and policy implementation skills • Extensive experience in FET College management and insight into the main responsibilities of the post • Communication, financial, procurement and analytical skills • Practical business management and administrative experience in the public and/or private sector would be an added advantage.

Duties: • Manage student support projects and guide the development of student support programmes • Ensure the effective implementation of strategic policies/plans as approved by College Council and GDE regarding student support programmes • Ensure coordination and alignment of the Campuses with regard to student support programmes • Ensure quality education support and adherence to College service delivery • Manage the
requisition, distribution and control of stock for the component • Assist with the financial planning and control of the component • Liaise with learners’ parents and employers.

College Council Appointment
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: INTERNAL AUDIT
Central Office (Ref: TNC/CO/12-05/07)
Salary Scale: R149 742 per annum (Cost to Company)
(12-month fixed-term contract)
Requirements: • An appropriate, recognised degree or National Diploma in Internal Auditing • Good administrative, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills • Project management skills • A valid driver’s licence • Computer literacy in MS Office.

Duties: • Assist in establishing the Internal Auditing component • Assist with the development of control framework • Implement and coordinate internal control systems in various business units within the College
• Assist the Finance Department in the preparation of financial records, reconciliations, etc.


INTERNAL AUDIT: AUDIT MANAGER
Central Office (Ref. TNC/CO/12-05/06)
Salary package: R250 000 per annum (Cost to Company)
(12-month fixed-term contract)

Requirements: • An appropriate, recognised degree or National Diploma in Internal Auditing • A CIA or other postgraduate qualification or completed articles will be an added advantage • Experience in auditing • Knowledge of risk and control management • Understanding of business processes and functions and the ability to compile reports • Project management skills • Good interpersonal and communication skills • The ability to build and maintain client relationships • Knowledge of PFMA and Treasury Regulations and financial services • A team player with the ability to operate independently • A professional attitude • A valid driver’s licence • Computer literacy in MS Office.

Duties: • Develop and implement internal audit plans for designated areas of responsibility • Initiate and plan the execution of priority audits • Ensure that audits are conducted in accordance with the standards set by the Institute Of Internal Auditors • Determine that corrective steps are taken on recommendations by business units • Coordinate and execute risk-based audits • Identify inefficiencies (eg Structure, Workflow analysis, business risks, management control strategies, bottleneck management and root cause analysis to determine the most probable underlying cause of problems) • Develop control frameworks • Assist with preparatory work for the AFS • Report audit results to Senior Management and the Internal Audit Committee.

STUDENT LIAISON OFFICERS (2 POSTS)
• Rosslyn Campus (Ref. TNC/RC/12-05/05)
• Soshanguve South Campus (Ref. TNC/SSC/12-05/06)
Salary notch: R101 007 per annum (plus benefits) (Salary Level 5)

Requirements: • A National Diploma or equivalent tertiary qualification • The ability to oversee and coordinate all sports, recreational and Student Representative Council (SRC) activities at Campus level.

Duties: • Liaise with parents and coordinate enrichment programmes for students at campus level • Coordinate workshops and training for students • Manage matters pertaining to the SRC, offer advice to the local SRC and assist in coordinating SRC activities and functions • Be responsible for career testing and guidance • Be responsible for facilitating admission of international students • Facilitate orientation/induction programmes
for new students • Form clubs at the Campus • Take overall charge of the management of sport and other student activities at the Campus • Arrange tournaments etc • Be involved in class rep, SRC, camps and leadership programmes • Arrange and organise student enrichment programmes and workshops • Advise exit-level students regarding in-service training • Assist in matters pertaining to the discipline of students.

EDUCATOR (PL1)
Student Support Services: Remedial Education

Salary notch: R122 751 per annum (plus benefits)

Requirements: • A relevant post-Matric, 3-year qualification (REQV 13) majoring in Psychology • Appropriate training as an educator.

Duties: • Students support pre-entry: Offer career guidance and counselling • Student on-course support: * Provide academic support by assisting students with study skills and methods * Assist with linguistic and numeric skills development • Provide life skills for students and facilitate access to counselling services as required • Student exit support: Assist students to access workplace opportunities during and after completion
of their studies.

DEPUTY CHIEF EDUCATION SPECIALIST (PL5)
Campus Managers (2 Posts)

• Temba Campus (Ref. TNC/TC/12-05/02)
Salary scale: R299 499 per annum (plus benefits)

Requirements: • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification plus experience in Engineering or a related environment • In-depth knowledge of the legislative framework, FETC Act, Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations, SETA and SAQA • The ability to think strategically • Management, leadership and administration skills • Report-writing and policy implementation skills • Extensive experience in FET College management and insight into the main responsibilities of the post • Communication, financial, procurement and analytical skills • Practical business management and administrative experience in the public and/or private sector would be an added advantage.

Duties: • Manage the strategic transformation of the Campus • Ensure the effective implementation of strategic policies/plans as approved by College Council and GDE • Ensure coordination and alignment of the Campus • Monitor management of the Campus • Guide, support, monitor and assess the performance of lecturing staff • Manage learnership projects and guide the development of skills programmes • Manage work distribution and timetables • Ensure quality education at the Campus and the adherence to College and subject policies • Manage exam-related matters • Manage the requisition, distribution and control of stock for the Campus • Manage the financial planning and control of the Campus • Liaise with learners, parents and employers.
