Director of Buildings, Facility Management and Security (Logistics) Council of Europe

Based in Strasbourg, France, the Council of Europe brings together the resources of 47 member countries to advance democratic principles based on the European Convention on Human Rights.

You will be central to everything we do, as you ensure the efficient management of buildings, facilities and security in Strasbourg, Lisbon, Budapest and Graz. Your remit will span technical installations, equipment and furnishings, as you optimise our security against fire and other risks, and direct the provision of catering, cleaning, distribution, vehicle, conferencing and travel services. To this end, you will oversee both strategic planning and operations, whilst mentoring and motivating around 200 people and managing financial resources of approximately €23 million.

To join us, you should be educated to degree level, preferably in Architecture, Engineering, Facilities Management or another relevant discipline, and should possess extensive experience in senior management roles. Naturally, you will have an impressive track record in logistics, sound professional judgment and considerable tenacity and initiative, plus real commitment to continuous improvement. Finally, you should possess an excellent command of one of our official languages of English and French, plus a sound working knowledge of the other.
