General Mechanics

In this role you will carry out risk assessments on all jobs, complete tasks as per the Service Information
system, execute daily PM inspections on the machines and log all defects on the daily PM inspection
report in order to create backlogs. Additionally you will perform daily running repairs, submit labour
reports on a daily basis, and complete service reports containing all required information. You will be
expected to adhere to working hours, including lunch hours/tea times, as well as adhere to Barloworld
and the Mine’s Safety, Health and Environment Regulations.

Requirements: • Qualified Trade Certificate as an Earth-moving Equipment Mechanic • Valid driver’s licence • Willingness to be on standby and work overtime and shifts, if necessary • Must have own tools • Ability to obtain a medical fitness certificate.

Please note all these positions will be based in/near Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
