Deputy chief of party Philippines

Chemonics seeks a deputy chief of party for the anticipated USAID-funded Integrity Investments Initiative to support anticorruption and economic growth in the Philippines. The project, which will be based in Manila, aims to reduce the costs of corruption to investments and trade and promote open and fair competition. Activities will focus on increasing the enforcement capabilities of the Philippine government's anticorruption institutions, reducing opportunities for public sector corruption, and strengthening corporate governance in the private and public sectors. We are looking for individuals with a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and develop program activities
  • Provide overall contextual knowledge of the Philippine anticorruption environment and leverage networks to achieve the project's objectives
  • Supervise staff, short-term specialists, and coordinators to ensure efficient and effective activity implementations
  • Manage the project's monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Market program activities
  • Oversee the development and distribution of program information, including reporting, success stories, and other high-visibility communications material
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in management, law, international development, monitoring and evaluation, public administration, business management, accounting, financial management, or a related field preferred
  • Technical knowledge in prevent​ing corruption, including public sector corruption; improving anticorruption enforcement; improving corpo​rate governance; or similar areas
  • Minimum five years of experience managing similar USAID or international donor-funded projects
  • Superb managerial skills and ability to ensure financial and administrative efficiency
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
  • Strong project management and communications skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders, including governments, nongovernmental organizations, and private sector companies
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required
