Research Intern--U.S. Role in the World

Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading think tank specializing in international affairs, seeks a full-time Fall research intern to assist with a forthcoming book about the National Security Council. The candidate will also provide administrative and clerical assistance to the scholar’s Economic Strategy Roundtable series. Responsibilities include writing detailed and thoughtful research papers, reaching out to roundtable invitees, coordinating meetings among senior-level officials, staffing conferences and writing succinct event summaries.

Position requires excellent communications skills, a strong background in academic research and writing, sophisticated knowledge of and interest in international affairs, and solid computer skills. Diligence, thoughtfulness, and creativity are critical. The position is unpaid and available immediately.
