Senior management systems advisor , Ghana

Chemonics is seeking a senior management systems advisor for the anticipated USAID-funded Resiliency in Northern Ghana project in Tamale, Ghana. The project will promote increased food security and improved nutrition and health. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include providing technical advice in the development, implementation, and fine-tuning of the management systems at the Regional Coordinating Council and District Assembly levels to ensure these institutions are responsive to the food security needs of vulnerable households. These systems are most likely to include planning, budgeting, financial management, supervision, implementation oversight, and monitoring and evaluation.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in international development, agriculture, economics, public health, nutrition, or related field required
  • Eight to 10 years of progressively responsible work experience advising government counterparts in the development and use of management systems to support programming at the community level required
  • Miniumum two to three years of experience working with decentralized government structures in Africa preferred
  • English fluency required
