DEPUTY DIRECTOR, SCENARIOS
The World Energy Council (WEC), a London-based international non-profit energy policy organisation active in 93 countries, seeks an experienced project manager to manage its on-going global energy scenarios project. Duties include working with the Director of Studies, Core Team and Study Group to advance the project; overseeing the project partner who is producing the modelling for the study; overseeing one project staff member; interacting with WEC’s global scenarios network; preparing and attending meetings and workshops related to the project; and assisting with production of deliverables.
Candidates with a background in energy industry strategy and/or prior experience in the development of scenarios will be given first consideration. An advanced degree in economics is highly desirable. A higher university degree and fluency in English are required.
The position will report to the Director of Studies. Some international travel will be required. This is a permanent, fulltime position. Salary negotiable from £65,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
