International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs.
Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility for rapid response to emergencies. International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.
International Medical Corps is seeking a Chief of Party for USAID/Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) IQC, Support Which Implements Fast Transition IV (SWIFT IV). SWIFT IV is the mechanism through which OTI implements programs in countries in transition providing assistance to help host governments and civil society advance democracy. OTI requires implementation that is fast, flexible and targeted to the needs and priorities of the population in the host country promoting peace and stabilization. The Chief of Party has the overall responsibility for program accountability, working in close partnership with OTI’s Country Representative.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience working in conflict and post-conflict countries, preferably in the DG sector in challenging environments with prior OTI experience a plus; Previous COP/DCOP/Country Representative experience required in complex programming working to rigorous deadlines; Previous experience with small grants a plus.
