MCC Associate Director/Director (Social and Gender Assessment)

Associate Director/Director (Social and Gender Assessment)

MCC-Department of Compact Operations

The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is a U.S. Government agency whose mission is poverty reduction through economic growth. Grants for projects that support the mission are given to carefully selected developing countries that demonstrate a commitment to just and democratic governance, economic freedom and investments in their people. Because gender inequality can be a constraint to economic growth and poverty reduction, MCC has identified gender and social assessment as an agency priority. MCC and our country partners’ social and gender assessment technical staff are involved in all stages of project design, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The work is guided by MCC’s Gender Policy (http://www.mcc.gov/documents/guidance/mcc-policy-gender.pdf) and Guidelines for Gender Integration (http://www.mcc.gov/documents/guidance/guidance-2011001054001-genderintegration.pdf).
