Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI) is the largest youth music NGO in the world with the mission to "enable young people to develop through music across all boundaries". With members and contact organizations in 80 countries, JMI provides opportunities for youth engagement through music, reaching over 5 million young people aged 13-30 annually through 36,000 activities. JMI places empowerment, with its emphasis on social inclusion and cohesion, at its core. For over 60 years, JMI has been 'Making a Difference through Music', using the power of music to bridge across social, geographical, racial and economic divides and creating a platform for intercultural dialogue.
Duties:
To support the activities of its head office in Brussels, JMI is currently looking to engage an Intern who will work directly with the Programs Officer from whom he/she will receive guidance and to whom he/she will regularly report on the progress of his/her activities.
Daily tasks include:
  • Project management
  • Online communications & PR
  • Liaising with JMI members and partners
  • Support JMI office in administrative tasks
Terms and conditions of assignment:
  • Location: Brussels
  • Duration: Three month unpaid internship.
  • Food cheques will be given.
Ideal Profile of Applicant:
  • Applicant must hold a relevant university degree (Cultural Management, Arts & Social Sciences, Journalism).
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, any additional language is an asset.
  • Computer and social media literacy.
