Job Purpose |
The Airframe Systems Engineer will report to Manager Aircraft Engineering program.
He/she will be
responsible for all CAR-OPS 1, CAR M requirements to Airworthiness
Directives compliance, Service Bulletin analysis, associated
modification and any company requested modification incorporation for
all Airframe components. He/she will be responsible for coordinating
Airframe systems projects that are directed by the Manager Aircraft
Engineering.In order to ensure continued airworthiness, optimum
reliability and on time performance on all Etihad aircraft, he/she has
to ensure functionality, reliability and availability of the specified
and installed systems and components.

Responsibilities | You will be responsible for :
- Assessment
of airframe systems related Airworthiness Directives and Service
Bulletins on Etihad’s fleet to ensure that all Airworthiness Directives
for airframe components are properly assessed, decided and timely
incorporated to maintain aircraft safety standard.
- Review
A380/787 Systems design, components and material selection with vendors
and provide recommendation from in-service issues to capture all
improvements and ensure a quality, reliable, repairable and maintainable
product is delivered to Etihad.
- Liaise
with internal Etihad departments, manufacturers and subcontracted
organizations to ensure that the Airframe systems are maintained
according to its intended design specifications.
- Incorporation
of company requested airframe modifications. Additional modifications,
which are requested by the Etihad internal customers (e.g. Flight
Operations, etc.) shall be technically and commercially assessed and
presented in a meaningful format for management decision and approval.
- Review
and recommend engineering specifications for airframe systems and
components selection on new/used aircraft that are joining the Etihad
fleet.
- Carry out any technical projects as directed by Etihad Engineering management.

Requirements | You will be required to have :
- Tertiary
qualifications that meet the eligibility requirements for membership as
a charted engineer (e.g. Bachelor degree in the field of Aeronautical,
Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics engineering) and 5 years
job-related experience OR a 10 years job-related experience in the field
of Technical Commercial Aviation or Airline Engineering is generally
preferred.
- Formal
training in systems engineering, project management and at least 2
Etihad Airways fleet aircraft specific type courses is required.
- Permanent
education to secure up-to-date understanding of current and
anticipation of future legislation needs as well as basics of financial
airline management.
