Manager Health and Safety - Services
This highly visible and senior position will report directly to the General Manager People and Capability . Exemplifying our commitment and dedication to creating a safer environment this key role will provide overall management of the Health and Safety function including oversight of systems, planning, performance, leadership and development to our staff. This will be a true opportunity to partner with our business and the wider Thiess HSEQ communities to assist in meeting strategic objectives.
In more detail this role will;
- Provide strategic advice, leadership and consultancy in Health & Safety within a risk management framework.
- Assist in the creation of an empowered and challenging team culture that delivers outstanding performance in Safety and achieves successful business performance.
- Provide direction to ensure compliance of Health and Safety management issues to meet and exceed expectations ensuring alignment between our business units
- Provide processes to support the implementation of our management system
- Engage senior line managers and other key stakeholders to ensure their input into HSE processes;
- Act as a facilitator between business units and project learning, generate, drive and lead discipline and business unit improvement ideas.
- Proactively recommend corrective actions that focus on systematic improvement and transferable lessons
- Actively contribute to a positive teamwork environment at all times and the wider Thiess and its Services business PSE group.
To succeed in this role, you will have significant experience in a services contracting company or related industry. You will be a strong influencer with an engaging style; possess outstanding relationship management skills and be able to maintain a visible presence and lead across a diverse business.
