Program Coordinator
ME&A (Mendez England & Associates), an international development consulting firm that specializes in governance, democracy and public administration; economic growth; and water and coastal resources management, is seeking a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will aid in proposal development and program support for a range of international development projects and project evaluations funded by USAID, the U.S. Department of State, and other donor organizations. This is a full-time position located at ME&A’s headquarters in Bethesda, MD.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate proposals for international donor-funded contracts
- Write and edit proposals in a range of topics (ranging from program evaluations, to local economic development, to water resources management)
- Edit and produce final reports for ongoing and completed projects
- Conduct research for both proposal preparation and for ongoing programs and projects in the field
- Provide program support and project backstopping for new project implementation and ongoing projects in the field (international travel and logistics, shipping and procurement, contract management, etc.)
- General office and administrative support for senior-level staff
- Maintenance and updating of ME&A’s website and social media
Qualifications
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in international development or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working in a program support or international development role
- Proven experiece conducting research, writing and editing
- Proven experiece conducting research, writing and editing
- Proven ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment
- Attentiveness to details and conscientious in adhering to deadlines and deliverables
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience using social media for business or professional purposes
- Strong computer skills
- Fluency in another language (desirable)
