DEPUTY HR MANAGER

Sedibeng Water, with its headquarters situated in Balkfontein just outside Bothaville,
has an operational area that covers about 86 000km² making it one of the largest
water utilities providing services to approximately two million people across three
provinces, namely Free State, North West and Northern Cape.
In order to meet the demands of its growth strategy, the organisation is looking for
suitably qualified individuals to fill the following vacancies:

DEPUTY HR MANAGER
BOTHAVILLE

Prerequisites: â€¢ Degree/BTech in Human Resources • Diploma in Labour Law/Relations
• Formal management qualification would be an added advantage •

Minimum of 2 years’ experience at management level • Practical knowledge of Labour Relations • Computer
literacy • Valid driver’s licence (Code EB) • Ability to work within tight time constraints • Ability to work independently • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Knowledge of Law of Evidence and all applicable legislation • Practical knowledge of the CCMA and Bargaining Council rules.

Major responsibilities: â€¢ Formulate draft policies and procedures and the Conditions of Service • Draft employment contracts and Collective Agreements • Convene and facilitate corporate employee consultative fora • Benchmark best practices on remuneration and recommend changes • Arrange and prepare documents for pre-arbitration conferences, conarbitration hearing and labour court matters • Advise management on ER matters
• Represent the organisation at the CCMA/Bargaining Council • Conduct surveys on the labour relation’s climate and recommend interventions.
