Associate, Human Resources

Chemonics seeks a temporary Human Resources (HR) assistant to support the Employee Services department (ESD) for a six month assignment. The HR assistant will troubleshoot problems, coordinate closely with Recruitment Management, Lifecycle, Payroll Compliance managers to accomplish tasks, and comply with Chemonics policies and standard operating procedures. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities include:
• Administer the deactivation of HR vendor accounts of employees who have left the company
• Request background check reports, review the results, and inform director of any issues or outstanding process items
• Maintain good documentation to support work efforts and follows up with employees as necessary to complete processes
• Create and update records in company-specific databases
• Manage job advertisement posting process, which includes managing advertisement placements and sources, sharing best practices, and advising on appropriate venues
• Assist in responding to requests appropriately and quickly from internal and external clients
• Process physician panel invoices and benefits vendor invoices
• Act as lead for document management process for all active and terminated employees, including managing the I-9 maintenance process with accuracy and attention to detail
• Assist with coordinating new employee orientation by setting up rooms, confirming attendance of presenters, and placing catering orders
• Coordinate company intranet site access for staff
• Respond to employment verification requests in accordance to Chemonics standards
• Performs data entry of personnel changes and tax withholdings into human resource information system (HRIS)
• Perform file maintenance and general administrative support tasks
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum three years of administrative management experience in a corporate environment; Human Resources experience preferred
• Experience with Excel and Access preferred
• Experience with HRIS required; ADP preferred
• A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external customers while meeting deadlines within department’s standards
• Ability to follow directions and execute tasks
• Good discretion, and a history of maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating integrity
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Ability to promote teamwork and a positive work environment
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously; strong attention to detail
• Resourceful and shows initiative by responding to complex requests from multiple stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; familiarity with applicant tracking systems preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
• English fluency required; Foreign language fluency desired
