Job Summary

​We are currently seeking a Water Engineer to join our leading water engineering team and play an integral role in the growth of our Water group. Based in Wollongong, our office provides services in structural, civil and environmental engineering and town planning. Key Responsibilities

  • ​Water engineering design;
  • Flood modeling and studies;
  • Project management to coordinate and prepare designs and documentation for water projects;
  • Liaising with local councils and other authorities to complement the preparation of designs and approval processes;
  • Data analysis and reviewing assessments;
  • Ensure that company and client deadlines, commitments and expectations are managed appropriately in the given time frame and budget;

Other Requirements

  • ​Tertiary qualifications in Environmental / Civil Engineering;
  • Experience in Water Engineering, preferably within the land development sector;
  • Experience in preparing detailed flood studies;
  • Experience in water engineering elements such as WSUD, hydrology, hydraulics, flood studies, drainage, on-site detention;
  • Capability in modelling programs such as MUSIC, WBNM, XP-RAFTS, HEC-RAS, Drains, XP-SWMM, 12d, SMS, TUFLOW (or similar);
  • Aspiration to build on technical skills, and progress into project management tasks;
  • Good technical design engineering skills and a comprehensive understanding of Australian standards and guidelines;
  • Strong written and verbal skills;
  • Ability to liaise with clients, authorities, contractors in office and site environments;
